well so far the summer has been damn good, despite the stupid weather weve been having. The cornwall road trip which both Mr luke cullis and I traveled down for was off the hook all week. the trails needed a little bit of work but once we sorted them the sesh went down. The level of riding got pretty pretty intense and even saw me throwing some stunts into my runs for extra rad factor and luke did some of the spinny round tricks. i think luke might of won the king of dirt round with a tripple whip to late flip but there was more intresting things goin on such as the girls with horses. yes you remeber them

Hey we just got back from newquay for a few days managed to escape the rain and get a bit of riding in and plenty of beach time in! Anyone who hasnt been there should definetly go its a whole different perspective to my town. I headed up with Jamie Grice, Dave Cox and Sam Moir and had a blast heres one of the pics but more footage was made look out for possibly a new video coming from ourselves soon.....

its kinda funny seeing all the fuss being made over cam mccaul's new cable setup. decline magazine just ran a little post on the various methods riders use to get round the gear cable tangling issues from barspins and whips. cam and co have a neat little doo-dad that attaches to their cage mounts and they run an old school road shifter tucked out the way...

it works but its nasty as hell to look at. check this sucker out (the photos are terrible) this is me, back in '96 throwing down some crazy skillz (thats sarcasm just in case you wondered) rocking a shifter under my seat! yes you heard that right - under my damned seat. how f*ckin clever am i? very. thats how. its innovation like this that makes static the best bike company in the world ever.

been a busy few days here at the statcave, we managed to sneak a last minute advert in mbuk which should hit the shops this week.

the static barspin kit is now back in stock, this badboy is the ONLY aftermarket gyro cable kit available for MTB use. the lower cable is extra long and will run all the way to a V-brake or cable disc. i run one of these hooked up to an avid v-brake with a regular v lever and also with an avid road cable disc with an odyssey modulever, both work superb with a snafu mobeus.

Chicksands KOD

1st round of the national king of dirt series took place at Chicksands last sunday, good turnout and even stinky pete came from his cave to wow the crowds with his flip attempts. I should of won quite blatently with this trick, ask anyone...i've been working on it all winter its called the raised nothing with bartweak, sadly it wasnt landed but i'll go back to the foam pit and keep on trying!

Pinto the trail boss did static proud and won the howies trails style with radical kickouts like this...
me and thomas also got our production frames the week before, and they are so amazingly rad,

we've set up our own community site for anyone who wants to join up. you can upload your pics and movies, set up your own page like myspace and do all the usual good stuff. but its all under one roof, so if you tell everyone you know to start using it then we'll build the biggest bike community site on the web which would be rad huh?

I was told about this bmx website thing which you can setup your own profile on and thought why isnt there a mountain bike version? But there is setup by the same person its called intermtb.com and you setup your own profile like myspace which everyone seems to have good idea i reckon could be a good way to meet new riders and start arranging rides check it out.

You can add details about your bike setup even how many spokes you run! tricks all sorts.

I finally got to go out and play on my bike yesterday it was the first day in ages i think that was actually dry not windy or too cold so i went to the jump box hip thingy on the estate next to mine it was pretty fun although there was a massive puddle infront of the take off so to jump the box you had to do a slalom course round the puddle so i just rode the hip instead which was still slalom ish but not as bad and managed to get a few pics hopefully ill get down the skatepark soon and get some more pics on some have decent ramps........

Man, the powder blue coloured frame has to be the nicest colour EVER put on a bike, its nothing like any other blue i've seen on a frame, its so light its almost white but at night the damn thing nearly glows....
When we specced it from the pantone reference we didnt expect the sprayers to get it that perfect but HOLY CRAP its sick! i tried to take a pic to do it justice but the weather is too shite round here... anyways, those who preordered theirs will be able to see it in all its glory in a couple of days...
